The Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association (DMRBIA) conducted a short survey through August 25th - Sept 23rd to gain feedback from the members regarding effectiveness, level of promotions and events as well as member participation.

Council Makes Major Pitch for Maple Ridge Civic and Cultural Facility at UBCM

On Tuesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 29 Council will be meeting with members of the BC Cabinet to ask for financial support towards a major Civic and Cultural Facility. This will address shared aspirations of creating a welcoming space that provides a location for youth in this community to gather, encourages higher education opportunities and offers a new home for the museum that will complete the heart of our civic precinct located in the centre of Maple Ridge.

The piano has now been moved to its “Hibernation Location” in the Maple Ridge Library; upstairs, north-side of the building.
Next June/July 2017 it will be moved back in the Bandstand.

Geocaching in Downtown Maple Ridge!

Geocaching is the perfect fun, free family activity for Spring, and a great way to get outside and explore Downtown Maple Ridge. Geocachingis a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS coordinates and clues. Participants start at specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden there.

The Business Watch program in Maple Ridge has been up and running for one year. The RCMP and BIA have spoken to approx. 150 businesses in the target area. Just to remind everyone the target area is located between 222nd to 224th Street, from Dewdney Trunk Rd to Lougheed Hwy.
