DMRBIATO ALL BUSINESS AND PROPERTY OWNERS IN DOWNTOWN MAPLE RIDGE

With great pleasure we WELCOME YOU AS A MEMBER of the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association (DMRBIA). You are an automatic member by virtue of owning a business or a property in the DMRBIA Area (essentially Downtown Maple Ridge).

The DMRBIA is a non-profit organization incorporated in March 2007. It represents all Businesses (approximately 700) and Property Owners (approximately 300) in the designated downtown area and is funded through a property tax levy. The key purpose of the DMRBIA is to develop, encourage, and promote business in Downtown Maple Ridge and to generate revitalization and improvement of the downtown core.

The DMRBIA is governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors comprised of Business and Property Owners within the DMRBIA Area. A new Board was chosen at the AGM April 2016.

The activities of the DMRBIA are managed by Executive Director, Ineke Boekhorst, an individual with strong business and volunteer roots within Maple Ridge.

The three committees of the BIA are:

  • Beautification & Revitalization – To enhance the aesthetics of the downtown core, this Committee is committed to work towards a clean and beautiful downtown. Develop coordinated efforts between Merchants, Property Owners, other Community groups and Municipality, to improve streetscape and property within the BIA.

  • Events & Marketing – Promote downtown and businesses to residents and externally. Support existing events and create new events in the downtown.

  • Safety & Security – To improve level of safety, by participating in social, security and policing efforts in the BIA with all stakeholders.
